Cookies
Cette page n’est disponible qu’en anglais.
This site sets one cookie. This is it, in full:
| Name | What it does | Set when | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers which language you chose, so the site stops guessing from your browser’s language header. | When you pick a language with the switcher, when you open a page under a language prefix such as /el/, and on a first visit to the home page when the site sends you to the language your browser asks for. | One year. |
There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no third-party cookie and no tracking pixel — here or anywhere on the site. Nothing profiles you, and there is nothing to opt out of.
Why there is no banner
Consent banners exist for cookies that are not necessary for a service you asked for. A language preference that only decides which language the pages come back in falls under the ePrivacy Directive’s exemption for functional storage, so there is nothing to ask permission for. If a non-essential cookie is ever introduced, a real consent step arrives with it — not a banner for show.
Removing it
Delete the cookie in your browser’s site-data settings and the site simply goes back to negotiating from your browser’s language header on the next visit. Nothing else changes and nothing breaks.
How the rest of your data is handled is on the privacy policy.
